Frequently Asked Questions:

how do we book you?

A Deposit is needed to book any wedding package along with a signed contract. Everything is done online. When you are ready below you will find an inquiry bottom to submit your responses. I will send you a link where you can review the packages, sign the contract, and finally make your payment. If a contract is signed but the retainer isn’t paid within 5 days your wedding isn’t booked and invoice will expire.

When do we have to make our deposit?

Once you have made your package selection and signed contract, you can pay your deposit. But, if you submitted and signed contract but didn't pay deposit your date is at risk of being taken. I don't reserve dates after the 6th day of inquiry or even if you made a selection or signed contract.

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking within 5-8 months in advance. Most common booking is 8 months in advance. Everyone wants to have a saved date for their big day! If you inquire early and book late there is a high risk that your date might be taken. You can still reach back if I'm still available.

what does travel fees include?

It includes the following: Plane ticket, gas, hotel, car rental ( if needed). All depends where you are located.

Travel fees can also be waived if photographer books clients in your area either on Saturday, Friday ( if wedding lands on Sunday or Saturday)

Do you do next day post-wedding shoots, after wedding?

Yes! I usually recommend this to all my clients to avoid any stress on the day of, so you can enjoy your day without having your family members wait on you. ( if that is your main concern ) This is also perfect for my shy private couples.

No they don't, I have discontinued prints from all my packages. I send all my clients a link to download all images or a flashdrive if it comes with the package. I'm happy to recommend places to print your images.

Where would you recommend printing our photos?

I would say Costco they have great quality prints and they aren't expensive. ( you can also create an online account to order your prints online ) There is this place in San Antonio called digitalprolab, they specialize in printing photos, great quality! Artifactsuprising.com has some beautiful prints and albums.

how long does it take to receive our sneak peek photos?

Sneak peek photos usually are out within 2-4 days after wedding in San Antonio. If out of state, 5-7 days due to traveling back home and getting things back in order. ( Its rare that I send them earlier, and if I do thats because I have the time to be on my laptop and go over all your photos )

Can I pay in payments?

Yes, you can certainly do payments throughout the months. You will have the option to do monthly or one full payment.

do you give raw files?

Unfortunately, I do not give raw files to any clients. You will only receive high quality edited images on an online gallery.

Any wedding tips?

Plan your wedding around the sun, ask your photographer whats a best time for couple portraits. Ask before setting a ceremony time.

Consider doing a FIRST LOOK. Depending on your timeline and the time of year, it may be the only way to have some intimate moments and reactions.

Be ready early on your wedding day! Make sure hair and makeup are done at least 2 hours before ceremony. This will increase the chances for doing bridals and bride & bridesmaid photos. When a bride & groom run late it can make the day more stressful and start to show on their faces. You deserve to look back on photos that reflect the joy and happiness of your special day.

Do yourself a favor and hire a wedding planner or day of coordinator! You will never regret it, I promise!

For Photo and video package who is in charge of video?

For my photo and video packages. I have teamed up with a videographer that will be in charge of video and drone footage will be my brother.

Do you let people know when someone else inquired for their wedding date?

Unfortunately, I don't this is first come first serve basis. That is why it's important to communicate with your photographer to make sure that you do plan to book. If they don't get an answer from you about what your plans are, it will seem like you are no longer interested or you found someone else. But I do email my clients when someone books their date, so they are aware that its no longer available.

IS A SECOND SHOOTER NECESSARY?

Depends, if you are someone who wants photos of groom, venue details, and other. I would say YES! why? because having a second shooter makes easier for myself and you. You will also have alot more variety of photos and different perspectives. Especially, if you're doing a small wedding and want all those beautfiul details. I'm only human, so I can only be in certain places at once. Having a SS will help capture those other place or details while I'm shooting other important things.

What type of payment do you take?

I send all my clients an invoice from QuickBooks and they have the liberty to use their debit/credit card, its all through a link. I don't take checks, zelle, cash app, Venmo.

Do you travel for weddings?

YES! I most certainly do. But only within the U.S. Anything further than 2hrs there is a travel fee.

WHAT IF YOU'RE NOT AVAILABLE FOR MY DATE BUT I WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO EDIT MY PHOTOS

Great question! If you are someone that likes my editing style, but I'm not available for your wedding date I offer a discount to hire an associate to shoot for me and I will edit your wedding photos.

Do you do video for weddings?

I no longer shoot video but have partnered with a videographer, I offer photo and video packages. Depending on your budget.

How long does it take to get final photos?

8hr Weddings take about 10 weeks or less depending on my workflow, Elopements/Smaller weddings take 6-8 weeks. If for whatever reason I prolong your gallery due to an emergency, you'll get something extra on me. ( ex: extra polaroids or photos etc.)
The wait time depends on my workflow and if its during busy season.

Are sales tax included in the package?

No. A 8.25% sales tax will be charged.

can you split wedding day coverage?

Unfortunately I don’t offer split coverage. Your coverage would have to be continuous from start to finish. Once wedding photography has begun, your coverage will not stop for travel or downtime. For example, driving from your hotel to your church, and from your church to your venue will use your coverage time.

Can we request a different editing style?

All edits will reflect my current style and brand. If you are looking for a “moody or light and airy” photographer there are plenty of amazing photographers more suitable for your taste. My photos are not always bright but would be considered true to color. Editing can vary depending on weather conditions and venue lighting.

do we get our deposit back if we call off our wedding?

any early payments made after the deposit are refunded but the retainer itself would not be refunded. Please make sure to read your contract about this.

do you have vendor recommendations?

Yes I do! Once you have booked. You will receive another email with a Wedding Guide with tips and lots of information including vendor list. Along with a wedding day questionnaire. Unfortunately, I don't send guide before booking.

What happens if I don't respond back to your email after 2 weeks?

I always send everyone a reminder to check up on them and see if the info I sent out was what they were looking for. If I don't get response after that, I automatically assume you are no longer interested and your email will be archived and categorized as "no response"
